Galleries and Such

Sometimes I find that my art projects can't waste enough money on the scale that I really enjoy. When I start to have that feeling, I end up renting some property and opening a gallery.

My latest project is called Machine.
I'm very involved in running C-level.
I had a short lived commercial art gallery in Houston called LAX.
My first space was called Revolution Summer.

This summer I decided that even the gallery wasn't wasting enough money, so I started a small press called Machine Project Press. We've published one book so far, a collection of writing by the artist Jessica Hutchins called Dark Pastoral. Please visit the aforementioned link and purchase multiple copies.

I used to run a monthly meeting for people interested in doing stuff with electronics called Los Angeles Art and Technology Hackers Club, which we've folded into the new SoCal branch of Dorkbot.

I also curate a video screening every 1.333 years at the Aurora Picture Show.

I've put up a page about Art of This Century, a short lived Houston gallery created by Jeff Elrod and Mark Flood that I found inspirational.
