basic switch with led
components:
1) B1: 9 volt battery
2) LED1: light emitting diode
3) R1: 100 ohm resistor
notes:
1) LED's will only conduct in one direction. Make sure the cathode (short lead) is closer to ground.
questions:
1) What purpose does R1 serve in this circuit? What would happen if the circuit
is built without it?
2) What would happen if R1 came before LED1 instead of after?
