Ground
1) Zero voltage reference level.
2) True ground connects to the earth. Thus the name.
3) Circuits we work with may not actually be connected to the earth, especially
if they are battery powered. Technically this is known as a floating ground.
4) Floating ground is relative to the circuit that it's part of.
5) We'll use ground to refer to floating ground, just like everybody else
does.
